Ceramics is my stress relief. I do my work as if I am making gifts for my family and friends. Ceramics helps me express myself without having to use words. My goal is to get a smile from the observer when they view my artwork or say wow. I want to inspire them to want to try ceramics and be able to express themselves through art as well.

When I get an assignment I usually take my sketchbook and sit in my room and try to imagine a project in my mind. When I get stuck I usually ask others for ideas as a starting point and then put my touch into the idea. For different projects I like to try different techniques and try not to use the same one all the time. I like using the wheel to challenge myself. I also try to not keep a theme and explore the different themes.

For my final projects I am using bees. I am deathly allergic to bees. I think I keep using them to show how I am facing death and how I am not afraid of bees. I am attempting to push myself to not always do the easiest projects and see how far I can push myself as well as the clay. Each year I try to advance myself and make this years projects better then last and making sure it is clean and neat and to take my time but also not to waste it.
